The fan is sharp-looking and works quite well. It's perfect for the office -- it's not so powerful as to blow my papers everywhere, but it cools and circulates air very nicely. It's sharp looking and, most importantly, quiet. Both the oscillating motor in the base and the fan motor itself are nearly silent; the only sound is the soft hum of the fan blades (even at full speed). I'm impressed with the fan, and after owning several comparable fans from different manufacturers, I can comfortably say that this is my favorite.

I bought this for my bedroom as I wanted a small fan that had to be quiet, as I use it many times at night. It does have a nice form factor and oscillates, which I appreciated. The thing that ultimately didn't satisfy me, though, was that it was not quiet enough when using it at night. During the day, it is quiet enough that I think it would satisfy almost anyone. But when used at night, the slight rattling sound and the sound of the motor itself seems much louder. I ended up returning mine and now will try to find another cooling fan. I have also used a Vornado VH2 heater/fan which is a little bit quieter, but does not oscillate.

For a fan of its size, I am blown away by its power. It's the perfect size to sit nicely and unobtrusively anywhere in the room. We were using a larger fan in our office but it was so bulky, always got in the way and never seemed to cool down the room. This little guy is definitely outperforming its predecessor. And it's so quiet too!
